Poppyseed Bread

Here’s What You’ll Need (to make 2 Loaves):

  • 3 cups flour

  • 2 cups sugar

  • 1 1/2 tsp salt

  • 1 1/2 tsp baking powder

  • 2 tbsp poppy seeds

  • 3 eggs

  • 1 1/2 cup milk

  • 1 cup + 2 tbsp vegetable oil

  • 1 1/2 tsp vanilla

  • 1 1/2 tsp almond extract

  • 1 1/2 tsp butter flavoring

Glaze:

  • 1/4 cup orange juice

  • 1/2 cup sugar

  • 1/2 tsp vanilla

  • 1/2 tsp almond extract

  • 1/2 tsp vegetable oil

Instructions:

  1. Blend all ingredients with electric mixer

  2. Pour into two greased and floured loaf pans OR pans with parchment in them

  3. Bake at 325 for 60 min and do toothpick test

  4. While cooling, make Glaze

  5. Combine all Glaze ingredients. Poke holes half way deep in loaves with toothpick. After loaves have cooled for 10 min, poor glaze over loaves

  6. Best stored in fridge
